As a good project management book said "The best project managers seem invisible, but they make everything run well.. so well, it's hard to tell what they are doing, because there are no problems happening and everything is planned for. But, if they are removed from the project, it would fall apart as they are the ones making things get done, and preventing problems."

I have 2 wonderful daughters:

My elder daughter is a wonderful dancer & loves stories, books, animals, riding her bike & playing at the playground, soccer, and painting, drawing, and playing pretend. She is a natural at math, loves stories and dress up, loves crawling around in the dirt, climbing through 'jungles' or any plants, racing to be the first, yelling "first one there is a dragon! last one there is a chipmunk!" - She's creative. She's a good kid.

My younger daughter is quite thoughtful & precocious, she is quickly learning and she likes to help clean, looks up to her sister and she's quite strong! She loves to laugh & giggle and play with her toys, & taken to drawing & painting, computer games and building constructions in the living room w/her sister. She is a great kid too.

I figure you should do what you love & be with those you love every moment you can; who knows how long we have here? Enjoy & Invest in every day.

My big brother Todd, is an astro-physicist at Umass & was the lead on the team that showed that deep space is not an empty vacuum, but in fact populated mostly by hydrogen. He travels around the world giving talks when he can, teaches full time at Umass & hangs out with his awesome daughter & wife: his daughter, my neice, plays guitar (already, at age 7!) and sings, plays soccer & is wicked-smart at reading,too. She's much quieter then my elder daughter, but they get along like peas in a pod when they are together. I love you, Bro!!


Since I lost my little brother to an avalanche Jan. 16th, 2005, I have a new perspective on life: some things seem so much more important now, and so much seems to be absolutely shallow now.

I am trying to channel my love for my brother and how much I miss him into something good, as I figure I will only miss him more and more the longer it is since I last saw him, and not being able to see him again (at least in this life time: I hold some vague but optimistic feeling that he is out there, because I can feel this sense of him nearby sometimes, but I do not claim to know anything, as death is a veil we still have not penetrated to begin to understand). I just try to go forward with something that my brother would be proud of, and that supports my family and my love for them.

Mom & Dad: you gave me an awesome childhood & upbringing: I had fun, creative outlets, encouragement, everything I needed and mental and emotional support: thank you, you are both wonderful! Mom likes to hike mountains & volunteers at a Raptor Center, and Dad built his own drift boat, ties flies, and volunteers at a free medical clinic as an MD when he is not working on improving health coverage for the uninsured, which is his current main project out in Oregon where they live. Love you guys!

I'd also like to give a shout-out to my little brother's friends who are amazing people, most of them doing charity work around the world: you guys have brodened my horizons of existence since meeting you after Pete's funeral - some of you I had met priviously, but this has thrown us together: and you guys are like my bro to me in spirit & heart now: and Mom & Dad say the same: you are welcome in our homes, hearts and family. I Love you all.

Thank you for being there for me.

I think it's important to try hard everyday on what we are doing; if we aren't, why bother at all?
