People do make snap judgements & first impressions.

I'm not sure how much those change through time: I think rather then turning or changing they just build more impressions, like adding to a sculpture or block house the foundation is not gone - but the first impressions and instantaneous impressions stick with us.

Oh, and it seems after a long time apart there is another kind of "shock/strong first impression" again. Yet the old first impression remains.

PS: I haven't read the book 'blink' but I'm tempted to because I want to know how to overcome or diminish/dilute this tendency in people to possibly make snap judgements based on first impressions.
